Opulent and full-bodied displaying great acids as well as a striking minerality. Aromatics of dried apricot, orange peel, anise and green apple handsomely constructed around an expressive and rich core of marzipan, fresh pineapple, lime leaf and toasted hazelnuts finishing with energy and intensity. Our Green Acres Chardonnay shows off its broad, rich texture, a natural gift from Old Wente, which contrasts with its minerality and a provoking acidity.
Crisp lemon custard, brioche, apple blossom, honeysuckle and nectarine jump from the glass of this beautiful, medium-bodied Chardonnay that has the hallmark of purity, energy and freshness. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
Growing Conditions
From the first vineyard the Sangiacomo family planted in 1969, Green Acres is situated in the cool coastal appellation of Carneros and benefits from rocky, well-drained soils and signature afternoon winds.
Aging
Barrel Fermented, Aged 15 Months.
