Palate
Provoking aromatics of tropical melon, sea salt, blood orange and grated nutmeg, our Green Acres expands to a broad palate filled with apricots, lemon curd and brioche. Maintaining our signature synthesis of honeyed stonefruits polarized by lively acidity and piercing minerality gaining momentum of richness and depth on the finish.
Crisp lemon custard, brioche, apple blossom, honeysuckle and nectarine jump from the glass of this beautiful, medium-bodied Chardonnay that has the hallmark of purity, energy and freshness. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
Growing Conditions
From the first vineyard the Sangiacomo family planted in 1969, Green Acres is situated in the cool coastal appellation of Carneros and benefits from rocky, well-drained soils and signature afternoon winds. Our Green Acres Chardonnay shows off its broad, rich texture, a natural gift from Old Wente, which contrasts with its minerality and a provoking acidity.
