Palate
Deliberately polarizing with wet stone, sea salt, orange blossom and citrus oil penetrate with precision through apricot, Asian pear and mellow pineapple cradled with modest tight grain, lightly toasted French oak.
Growing Conditions
As a California “grand cru”, Hyde Vineyard is located at the gateway to the beautiful Napa Valley in the region of Carneros. A moderate vintage allowed the elegant aromatics and lively natural acidity to prevail. Summer temperatures are cool due to its proximity to San Pablo Bay, with foggy mornings and cool afternoon breezes.Under the soils, ancient creek beds provide excellent drainage to the red clay loam. Hyde vineyard is sustainability and organically farmed with respect for the environment, meaning the riperian growth of native trees along the creek provides a habitat for different birds, such as owls, kites and hawks and cover crops help with beneficial insect management, soil structure and vine nutrition
