Palate
Well-articulated dark fruits, plum, blackberry and rosemary, scents of wilderness, rolled tobacco, cedar and espresso with structural tannins and lifted acidity.
Growing Conditions
Sourced from rocky and extremely well drained soils, Roberts Road sits on an old creek bed where the confluence of the Petaluma Wind Gap collides with Sonoma Mountain at the southern end of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The narrow channel is positioned where the Pacific Ocean’s marine layer gets trapped at the base of Sonoma Mountain creating the extreme temperatures changes from evening to day. It is these dramatic diurnal temperatures that create the perfect synthesis unique to our Pinots.
