Palate
Supple, graceful and appealing, with well-modulated cherry and tobacco flavors, finishing with plum and caramel notes. Finishes harmoniously.
Growing Conditions
From our fabled Back Block in Yamhill-Carlton, one of the most prestigious vineyards in New World Pinot Noir, Shea is among the elite terroirs and continues to be recognized as a leader in conservation stewardship. Consisting of 140 dry-farmed hillside acres, Shea is located in Oregon’s sub-appellation Yamhill-Carlton which is situated in a rainshadow, leaving excellent dry conditions. The soil is characterized by shallow sedimentary Willakenzie topsoil over fractured sandstone subsoil.
