Winemaking

Our 2020 Resolution white Rhone blend is made up of 45% Grenache Blanc, 40% Roussanne, 10% Picpoul Blanc, and 5% Viognier. But those famous white Rhône varieties are not the only thing that help shape the character of this wine. At harvest we chose the precise timing to pick for acidity, we used extended aging on the lees for 14 months in both concrete and new French oak, and we bottled unfined and unfiltered to allow us to maintain texture that might otherwise be lost during filtration.

Coastview Syrah is our extended-aged reserve Syrah from Coastview Vineyards in Monterey County. This barrel-select Syrah is aged for 20-months in 100% new French oak barrels. Coastview Vineyard is hidden high atop the Gabilan Mountains on the east side of the Salinas Valley, on an exposed ridge top between 2200 and 2400 feet of elevation. Coastview is one of the most remote and isolated vineyards from which we source fruit.
