Écluse had leftovers so we decided to have some fun – hence our second label was born! Blind Dog is an eclectic blend of our great Paso Robles reds. It is delicious, approachable and affordable, making it a doggone great wine! A portion of the proceeds are donated to Dogs for Better Lives in Oregon as a tribute to Toby, our very own blind dog!

When barrel sampling this wine in the Tasting Room, we discovered that this truly was a special wine enjoyed not only by Port connoisseurs but also those who were skeptical of dessert wines. Made from our very own Lock Vineyard Late Harvest Zinfandel, the Solera method of fractional blending produced a velvety smooth, non-vintage dessert wine full of fresh jammy fruit and barrel aged richness with outstanding complexity and depth. As translation implies, our Finis is the perfect “finish” to a fabulous meal!

Our Reserve program began with our 2005 vintage where we found four barrels of Lock Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon that were so extraordinary, they merited the Reserve designation. Each vintage of our Cab Reserve is estate grown and sees more new French oak than our other wines. It is barrel aged for 30 months, a year longer than our standard barrel program, and continues to age in bottle for at least a year before release, creating an elegantly complex wine that is truly velvet in a bottle! Our Reserve is quite limited as we only create this wine when we find barrels of Cab during our blending trials that are so exceptional that we feel we have another Reserve in the making!

Our white Rhone style blend continues to challenge the senses because of its complexity.
