We fermented this chardonnay in new French oak barrels, but were deliberate in finishing the wine in neutral oak to ensure that the tannins and toast did not overwhelm the subtleties of the fruit. Don’t like an oaked Chardonnay? Well - fine! More for those who remain loyal to what is considered, still, to be the world’s most popular white wine.
