Palate

Paper Street Vineyard is delivering an exceptional fruit in 2019 and its expression so early in the bottle is amazing. Butterscotch and toasted creme brûlée on the nose. Silky on the mid-palate with bursts of wild dark berries. Its structure delicately straddles both grit and elegance for an elevated Paso Robles Zinfandel; the James Bond of Zinfandels.

Juicy and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated blackberry, blueberry, cola and spice-cake flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Shows fine clarity and spicy lift on the sharply focused, persistent finish, which features velvety tannins and repeating florality.

Growing Conditions

Farmed by the Dusi Family, our Paper Street Vineyard straddles between Willow Creek and Adelaida AVAs in the hills of Paso Robles. Its virgin soils, steep slopes and rugged terrain make for intensely bold and saturated wines.

Winemaking

Janell Dusi is the proprietor and winemaker, specializing in Zinfandel. She is a 4th generation farmer who is the first of the family to go beyond farming to produce wines from the Dusi Vineyards. She honors her heritage by winemaking in the most native form; handpicking, hand sorting and stomping her wines by foot. Her signature style is continued with non-invasive wine handling and gentle barrel aging.
