Loma Seca VineyardsCabernet SauvignonA lovely version of a dry-farmed Adelaida District Cab. Just a hint of French oak on the nose, this wine opens with dark fruit, cassis, blackberries, and blueberries. Its medium bodied and has a good acid balance. It finishes with lingering fruit on the back of the tongue. While dry farming concentrates the flavors, one might think it also results in bigger, harsher tannins, but that’s just not the case. The tannins on this wine are ample to allow for good aging potential but are quite pleasant even at this early stage. It certainly can be enjoyed now and would go great with sharp cheeses, and red meat of any ilk. 100% destemmed, aged 18 months in 50% new French oak, 50% neutral oak barrels. (48 cases)
