Nose
A fresh fruit
filled nose with an underlying citrus blossom
motif.
Palate
The hints of fresh strawberries echo the
fruits of the season and are complimented by
crisp flavors that linger on the finish. This dry
rosé is guaranteed to please throughout the year
and will accompany a diversity of dishes.
Growing Conditions
Grown in the Los Carneros AVA in Napa Valley,
the Pinot Noir grapes used in our Rosé benefit
from the cool climate of this southern most
region in the Valley. Home to numerous Pinot
Noir clone trials dating back to the 1950’s, the
Los Carneros AVA is the perfect location to grow
this varietal, with resulting fruit that exemplifies
the very best of the Pinot Noir grapes.
2016 saw another nearly perfect vintage in the
Napa Valley. Winter precipitation afforded
relief from drought concerns but a very nice
Spring and mild Summer brought slightly less
than average yields, smaller clusters and more
concentration in the fruit. Mid October brought
ubstantial rains to the region, the first in quite
some years, however we were fortunate to
already have all of our grapes in.
Winemaking
100% barrel fermented and aged in neutral
French oak barrels.
Aging
Aged for six months sûr lies
with occasional battonnage.
Appearance
An inviting salmon color.
