Palate

Mourvèdre and Syrah share the lead role in the 2019 incarnation of Vertigo as seen in the deep and brooding appearance. Just a touch of Viognier (cofermented with Syrah) ensures aromatic complexity with layers of jasmine and ginger snaps floating on a sea of blue and blackberries below. The palate offers deep flavors of plum, mixed berry, and toasted caramel with an exceptionally long, pleasurable finish. In 2019 there was a concerted effort to show more spice through stem inclusion. This is such a fun, beautiful wine that can be paired with food but is also perfectly acceptable to drink alone chilling by the fire.
