Le Vigne Winery

Fruity, spicy, flavorful and complex: these words can be used to describe each vintage of Ame de la Vigne, and this 2019 blend continues the trend. On the nose, complementary layers of dark cherry, black plum and cognac emerge. The powerful yet pleasantly smooth palate boasts currant, raspberry, baking spices and vanilla with a long-lasting toasted oak finish.

With the success of our Rosé of Sangiovese and realizing the varietal's potential we created a wonderfully expressive Sparkling Wine using the traditional Methode Champenoise. This delicate and effervescent wine is dedicated to Walter and Sylvia Filippini's granddaughter, Isabella.

This delightful red blend is a play off our Super Tuscan blends from the past. Instead of being predominately Sangiovese, we allow Cabernet Sauvignon to take the lead for structure and tannin. We allow the wine to age for an extended period of time to give the wine sufficient time to gain in complexity.

Continuing Le Vigne's tradition for the 'Barrel Select' series, this lovely Viognier was sur lie aged in neutral European barrels for 9 months prior to bottling.

We use a unique yeast that was isolated in Argentina, a country know for producing excellent Malbec, which elevates the characteristics and body of the wine and increases the brightness.

Planted in 2017, this fairly young block of Primitivo continues to exceed our expectations. Located on our Domenco Estate on the southern end of the vineyard, these vines tend to set bigger clusters with plump berries. Despite that, it produces the tannin structure sufficient for a 100% Primitivo bottling.

Bright cranberry and earthy sage combine on the nose to offer a fruity yet savory bouquet. The intriguing secondary notes of cedar, dried cherry and crushed spearmint leaf beckon a sip filled with tart cranberry, orange pith and well-integrated oak. Toasted almond stands out on the finish with an easy-drinking and foodfriendly acidity.

Classic Petite Sirah with lush tannins that linger on the palate with rich cassis and sasparilla notes.

Beginning notes of blueberry lead to aromas of tobacco leaf, chocolate, and cherry cola. Hints of blackberry and blueberry open up to distinct notes of saddle leather and cedar. Progressive tannins culminate in a refreshing acidity that revitalizes the pallet.

Opening aromas of currant, blackberry, and maple syrup set the stage for an explosion of strawberry, rhubarb pie, vanilla essence, baking spice, and freshly ground ginger.

The nose presents aromas of bright cherry and cranberry with an essence of vanilla and subtle nuance of violet. Notes of ripening strawberry and fresh cherry are enhanced by bright acid and fruit on the front of the pallet which leads into well-structured tannins on the finish with a hint of caramel.

On the nose hints of black currant and blueberry lead into cedar, cardamom, and turmeric aromas. A full-bodied mouthfeel that has rich fruit notes of fresh black cherry and plum that finish with pistachio and baking spice flavors. Boudreaux Style Blend

Prima Luce is Italian for "First Light". This is when you will often find our consulting winemaker, Terry Culton surfing in the waters off Morro Bay, California and thinking about winemaking. In the early morning hours, he was inspired to make a co-fermentation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
