Nose

Oh My!! A warm rich nose bursting with dark fruits, licorice and roots, forest floor, seared Duck breast, game. A fatty and deep nose, dare we say decadent? Whilst delicately intricate.

Palate

Explosive on the palate savory for sure but filled with wild blueberries, currants wrapped up in star anise and five spice. Savory. There is a great tannic grip and a fine acid backbone throughout.

Growing Conditions

Old Oak Vineyard – Willow Creek District

Here the soils are rich in lime and clay, the rain is plentiful enough, the sun is hot, the nights are cool, the ocean is close.

Singular vineyards farmed by equally singular humans. We prefer dry farming because it is the best expression of place, we prefer Organic farming because it is better, we strive to allow our wines to honor the land from which they were born and the people who tirelessly tended the vines.

Food Pairing

Pomegranate glazed duck breast with truffled potato gratin, and a carrot.
