Nose

This wine has an explosive nose with aromas of ripe dark fruit, minerals, blackberry, and boysenberry.

Palate

The mouth-feel is full of rustic flavors of black fruit, earth, leather, dried creek bed, and spice. The finish is impossibly long and exotic flavors of stone fruit, earth, and tannin, a finish that tapers into clay and dried plum.

Winemaking

Petit Verdot is most commonly known as a Bordeaux blender used primarily for color, tannin, and its earthy components. When we have enough leftover from our reserve blends, we traditionally bottle it as 100% varietal and only release it to VIP customers of the winery and Wine Club members!

Appearance

The color is an extracted garnet color.
