Amanda Gorter has trained under some of the best in the industry, including her current mentor, Don Brady. She joined Robert Hall Winery in 2016 and was promoted to Winemaker in 2019. Amanda has a degree in Biology with a Winemaking Certificate from the University of California, Davis.

From the start, Don Brady has led our winemaking team. Working hand in hand with our founder, Don’s skill and devotion to Paso Robles helped establish the region as a distinct AVA in 1983, create the unique style the region is renowned for, and make it a favorite of wine lovers around the globe. 

While studying at Texas Tech University, Don worked at the Pheasant Ridge Vineyard and the University of Texas experimental wine and grape program. After college, he joined Llano Estacado Winery and helped put the Texas wine industry on the map, including having his wines served at several White House functions. After moving to California, Don earned worldwide acclaim as the recipient of the International Wine & Spirits “Wine of America” Award and in 2006, he was recognized as “Winemaker of the Year.” Don also sat on the board of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance from 2005-2007.

Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Our Meritage has notes of sandalwood, savory herbs, and cassis on the nose. Flavors of blackberry preserves, cigar box, and molasses fill out this full-bodied wine. Balanced, with plush fine-grained tannins and a long finish.

Our Cavern Select Carbonic Carignan has notes of black cherries, pomegranate, and herbs. Flavors of raspberries, bubble gum, and spice on the mid-palate with bright acidity and slightly effervescent finish.

White

Our Cavern Select Chardonnay has aromas preserved lemon, spiced apples and dried pineapple. A rich and creamy mid palate complements a lingering toasted oak finish.

Sparkling

Our Sparkling Grenache Blanc has notes of lemon peel, chalk, and brioche. Fine bubbles accompany pear and papaya flavors with a clean finish.

Grenache Blend

Robert Hall Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of black currants, cedar, and spice. The wine is full-bodied with cocoa and plush ripe fruit flavors supported by balanced velvety tannins.

Robert Hall Chardonnay has aromas of lemon peel, pear, vanilla, and spice. Rich from barrel fermentation, the wine is medium bodied with balancing acidity and toasty oak that lengthens the finish.

Red Blend

Robert Hall Paso Red has aromas of berry cobbler, and savory herbs, and tobacco. The wine is full-bodied with fine grained tannins on the mid-palate and a long finish.

White Blend

Robert Hall Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of green apple, citrus, and lemon grass. Refreshingly dry and light-bodied with a crisp acidity, wrapped around a mineral core.

Our Cavern Select Syrah has notes of blackberry, sweet tobacco, and chocolate on the nose. Flavors of boysenberry preserves, black currant, and dried herbs fill out this round, full bodied wine. The wine has beautiful dusty tannins and a soft lingering finish.

The 2022 Cavern Select Vermentino has notes of citrus blossom and white nectarine on the nose. Lychee, pear, and papaya flavors on the mid-palate with a crisp, racy finish.

The 2021 Cavern Select Dusi Zinfandel is a medium to full bodied wine with aromas and flavors of bramble, sweet tobacco, cocoa, and dried herbs. The wines’ rich mouthfeel and balanced acidity followed by dusty tannins on the finish.  

The 2020 Cavern Select GSM has notes cherry preserves, tarragon, and anise on the nose. Flavors of kola, candied red plum, lavender on the full mid-palate with fine grained tannins with a smooth finish. 

The 2021 Cavern Select Chenin Blanc has aromatic notes of citrus pith, wet stone, and white peaches. A round mouth feel on the mid palate pairs with flavors of pear and apple blossom with a crisp finish.

Our 2019 Cavern Select Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of black currant, tarragon, and pipe tobacco. Flavors of cassis, leather, and graphite complement this wine’s fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity.

Our 2019 Cavern Select Mourvèdre has notes of blackberries, leather, and dried herbs. Flavors of plum, earth, and spice on the full-bodied mid-palate with fine grained tannins and a lingering finish.

Robert Hall Merlot has aromas of ripe black cherry, dried herbs, and spice. The wine is full-bodied with rich concentrated fruit flavors and fine-grained tannins on the finish.

The 2021 Cavern Select Malbec has aromas of ripe black raspberries, sage, and cocoa. Flavors of dried plums, cedar and sweet tobacco accompany this wine’s bright acidity and fine-grained tannins with a long, robust finish.
