Nose

The 2018 Apparition is brightly pitched with a bouquet of black cherry, worn leather, sage, nutmeg and cranberry.

Palate

The incredibly complex palate brings flavors of red currant, violet, thyme and just a hint of graphite. The dense midpalate evolves into a deeply structured finish that flaunts its vibrant acidity and age worthy tannins.

100% Estate – Adelaida District, Paso Robles.

Bottling

19 August 2020. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Winemaking

Destemmed and cold soaked for 7 days with daily pump-overs.
5-day fermentation with a mix of delestages, pump-overs and punchdowns for cap management. 12-day total maceration.

Aging

Aged for 22 months in 225L barriques 67% neutral French oak, and 33% new French oak.
