Growing Conditions

After 2 consecutive drought years, 2009 once again gave us less than average rainfall. This dry weather, combined with a damaging spring frost, resulted in lower than average yields. Low yields and small berries resulted in intense flavors and concentration. Ripening was slow at the end of the season bringing lovely complexity.
