Nose

Aromas of violets explode off the nose and lend the way to damp forest floor, nutmeg, dried cranberry and black plum.

Palate

The 2009 Authenticity with 64% Syrah and 36% Mourvèdre is an intensely complex, chewy and textured wine that attests to how serious Mourvèdre can be.

Flavors are savory and sweet – white pepper, sweet cigar, dried black cherry and smoked game. A meal in itself – maybe you don’t even need the meat!

Growing Conditions

Parentage: Paderewski Vineyard

Paderewski Vineyard:

Travel just west of Paso Robles, and you will find Paderewski Vineyard: 67 acres of undulating, steep, limestone rich hillsides within 570 rural, spring-fed acres. In the early 1900’s, this vineyard was cherished and farmed by world-renowned pianist, Polish diplomat, and vintner, Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Fast forward a century, and this property stood forgotten and fallow. Lucky for us, in 2004, we became the stewards of this amazing piece of property.
