Palate

Confucius says “Study the past if you would define the future.” Ignaci Jan Paderewski was onto something when he planted Zinfandel in the limestone hills on our property back in the 1920s. He knew then what we are finding out now – how complex and world-class America’s grape can be! Our 2012 Zinfandel wows the senses with lush huckleberry, cream and warm briar notes, yet quickly shows more character depth with elegant structure and that special earthiness bred from our Paderewski Vineyard.

Growing Conditions

Paderewski Vineyard:

Travel just west of Paso Robles, and you will find Paderewski Vineyard: 67 acres of undulating, steep, limestone rich hillsides within 570 rural, spring-fed acres. In the early 1900’s, this vineyard was cherished and farmed by world-renowned pianist, Polish diplomat, and vintner, Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Fast forward a century, and this property stood forgotten and fallow. Lucky for us, in 2004, we became the stewards of this amazing piece of property.
