Nose

Orange blossom and lilac burst out of the glass followed by shaved orange peel and lime. Somewhat focused and narrow at first glance, but additional layers of wet stone, lemon juice, and passionfruit lurk in the background as you let the wine invade your senses.

Palate

The entry is sweet with tangerine and pear that bring a moment of weight to the pallet before a melon filled profile overcomes everything else. Honeysuckle, sharp and sweet, contains the essence of warm, summer evenings in only the way summer citrus can, and a pomelo note carries an acidic twist that provides miles of freshness. The wine finishes with juicy pomegranate juice that booms with flavor while rose water refreshes and cleanses the palate.

Growing Conditions

The 2nd release of our Rosé of Grenache, the 2021 Roesé again hails from Rolph Family Vineyard in the Adelaida District of West Paso with an added component of Grenache Gris from the Templeton Gap District. Fruit forwardness from the Adelaida with delicacy and citrus from Templeton, this wine’s depth of aromatics and flavors really speak to the fact that Rosés are to be taken seriously.

Winemaking

Whole cluster pressed and fermented slow and cold in stainless steel with 5 months on lees prior to bottling.
