From the beginning, the Fabre brothers knew they wanted the Benom Collection to focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Sauvignon blends; thus Origin was born.

Benom is the phonetic translation of the French word binôme, which translates to “a project together.” They are brothers, they are French, and for them making wine is a heritage.

Arnaud and Guillaume Fabre moved to California for Love. For Guillaume, it was his love of winemaking and farming without limit(s) that brought him to Paso Robles.

A love that saw him making wine for one of the most prestigious wineries in Paso Robles, L’Aventure. This passion eventually lead him to start his own brand of immaculate wine, Clos Solene.

Arnaud’s story is much more like that of a movie scene. His move to California was to follow the love of his life, Chloe. This is how the two brothers -Les Deux Freres Fabre- ended up in Paso Robles. The story gets far more interesting, but you will have to come find out for yourself!

Carignan Blend

Meaning “to this” in Latin, “òc” (Hoc) pays tribute to the brothers’ native region of Languedoc-Roussillon by showcasing Carignan.

Red Blend

Meaning “an involuntary error” in Latin, Lapsus is a nod to the discovery of Graciano in the Paso Robles appellation. Since this varietal was originally believed to be Mourvèdre (monastrell), it was only natural to blend the two together.

Rosé

An anagram of Rosé, which means “the rise” in French, L’Essor is another perfect example of the different style of wine the brothers want to bring to the broad spectrum of offerings in Paso Robles.

Grenache Blend

The second wine the brothers dreamt up for Benom, Les Deux Frères (“The Two Brothers”) was created with pleasure in mind. A combination of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon & Tempranillo, this wine is inspired by Spain with a Paso Robles twist.

White

Contrast is a perfect example of what is possible in California but nearly outlawed in France: a combination of Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc.

Cabernet Sauvignon-Mourvèdre Blend

Poetically named Muze in honor of the wine’s inspiration, Clio red blend, her Spanish roots come from the Mourvèdre known as Mataro or Monastrell in Spain. Full bodied and powerful this blend combines a classic Bordeaux style of Cabernet Sauvignon creating a showstopping wine with nuances of deep earthy structure, opulent fruit and a seamless finish. The cool climate Syrah compliments the blend by bringing beautiful freshness and a hint of spice. Muze is a mesmerizing wine with a rich, elegant body and soulful notes.

An outcome of beautiful Grenache, Le Vingt is a wine made to be opened and enjoyed tonight. With a brightness and freshness unlike any other wine, this cuvée has become a tasting room favorite.
