Nose

Caramelized black cherry, sun-kissed plum, vanilla latte and clove tobacco balance upon soft-shouldered tannin and a juicy acidity.

Palate

An intriguing marriage of blueberry strudel, toasted star anise, smokey cinders and a dusting of cinnamon sugar offers a unified, lingering finish.

Winemaking

Picked throughout September and October, the grapes were fermented into 5-ton open top fermenters and pumped over multiple times per day to achieve maximum extraction. Aged for 22 months in French oak and American oak. During the last 12 months of barrel aging, the blending components were aged together in oak. During the first 10 months they were aged separately by variety.
