Nose

Showing the long, cooler climate gifts of vintage 2019, Epoch’s Block B is brimming with savory, earthy, and spicey qualities from first pour, which open up with exposure to air in the glass and evolve into dark purple fruit, white flowers, black olives, and roasted meats.

Palate

The wine shows velvety, flowing layers of fruit and earth on entry then extends out towards the finish with a growing tannin backbone. Although it’s delightful now, more will be revealed after some cellar aging.

Paderewski Vineyard:

Travel just west of Paso Robles, and you will find Paderewski Vineyard: 67 acres of undulating, steep, limestone rich hillsides within 570 rural, spring-fed acres. In the early 1900’s, this vineyard was cherished and farmed by world-renowned pianist, Polish diplomat, and vintner, Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Fast forward a century, and this property stood forgotten and fallow. Lucky for us, in 2004, we became the stewards of this amazing piece of property.
