Nose

The 2019 Petit Verdot features aromas
of black cherry and plum combined with hints of wet slate and tobacco.

Palate

The palate is rich upon entry, with
flavors of blueberry, currants, and baking spices. The
powerful mid-palate segues into a velvety finish balanced in tannins and complimented by a touch of caramel from the new French oak.

Bottling

Winemaking

A 5-day cold soak followed by a hot
fermentation during the first 6 days of
primary. Pump overs 2-3 times daily
until temperatures were cooled down
around day 7. Fermentation took place
in stainless steel closed top tanks.

Aging

Aged 16 months in 100% French oak
barrels, 50% of which were new oak.

Food Pairing

Pair with high-protein meats, reduction sauces, and flavorful BBQ.
