Nose

The nose on the wine shouts ollaliberries and blackberries with underlying notes of cassia, nutmeg, and cloves.

Palate

As the first sip hits your palette, notes of ripe red cherries hit, followed by a stream of Madagascar Vanilla Bean. The experience ends with the hefty structure and focus that is driven by the Petit Verdot.

Growing Conditions

The Sangiovese is coming from Camp 4 Vineyard down in Santa Ynez on Chumash Tribe Reservation. Camp 4 is a warmer site for Santa Ynez - right at the opening of Happy Canyon. The soil in this vineyard is mainly loam, which adds a brightness to the Sangiovese - exactly how we want our Sangio to be!

We are getting the Petit Verdot from Paso’s very own ONX Estate Vineyard, in the Templeton Gap District. This vineyard is home to various soils (calcareous and sandy, gravelly loam) and has some of the most intense dynamic temperature swings of all Paso Robles AVAs.
