Growing Conditions
Plummer and ONX Vineyards you already know. Cripple Creek is a vineyard in the Pomar District of Paso Robles marked by gentle rolling hills, and a mix of alluvial and limestone soils. This Cab showed the hallmark of the 18 vintage... refined, chewy tannins, and a vibrant acidity that ensures this will be a wine that will age for a long time to come. The Merlot added rich, expressive fruit and a full mid palate. The PV, as always is a structure bomb and a little goes a long way!
Winemaking
The Merlot and PV were fermented in small fermentation bins. The elevage was ~19 months in ~20% new French oak puncheon, with the rest being neutral French oak.
