Growing Conditions

The Wanderlust is a Rhone varietal blend from Paso Robles vineyards. The Grenache and
Syrah are grown in the Pomar District at an elevation of 1500 feet on the Carraige Vineyard
characterized by white limestone soils and well drained steep northwest facing hillsides. The
Onx Estate Mourvedre comes from a southwest facing river bench vineyard in the Templeton Gap district. This district is considerably cooler than the other districts in the AVA and
characterized by the most drastic daytime to night-time temperature swings; up to 50 degrees from peak to low warm days and cool nights.

Winemaking

The fruit was harvested at approximately 26.5 degrees brix, cold macerated and was allowed to ferment using wild and specialized yeast isolated from the Rhone valley. The fruit was harvested, cold macerated, and whole berry fermented for 30 days. The lots were aged in fine grain French oak barrels and puncheons for 15 months.
