Paso Robles Estrella District

Meaning star in Spanish, the Estrella District is a shining light in history and Syrah.

People have been grazing cattle and growing grain here for centuries, and Spanish and Mexican ranchers homesteaded it. Since then, the Estrella District has seen more founders, such as the iconic producers Eberle and J. Lohr.

Estrella District even has a Syrah clone named after it. Gary Eberle, brought cuttings from Chapoutier vineyards from Hermitage, France, and grew them here, producing the Estrella clone.
